See What We RepairExpert Repair. On-Site.
We offer complete jewelry repair services — stone replacement, clasp repair, recut stones, retipping, chain repair, pearl restringing, and ring sizing. We also cover custom redesign from broken pieces, and we have been doing this work for more than 40 years combined.
Our repair shop is on-site. You are not sending your piece to a stranger in another city — it stays here, and the person who works on it is the same person who will explain what needs to be done and why. We do not try to sell you more work than your piece needs. We give you an honest assessment and an honest price.
Bring in your piece. Tell us what happened. We will take a look and tell you exactly what we can do.
What We Repair
Lost a stone from a ring, pendant, or earring? We source and set replacement stones — from diamonds to colored gemstones — matched as closely as possible to the original. We source gems from India, New York, Thailand, and Tucson to find the right fit.
A broken clasp is one of the most common jewelry repairs — and one of the most important, because a necklace or bracelet with a broken clasp is a piece you simply cannot wear. We repair and replace clasps on necklaces, bracelets, and all other jewelry.
Worn prong tips are a leading cause of lost stones. Retipping restores the prong to its original height and shape, securing the stone properly. We inspect prongs as part of every repair assessment and will tell you honestly if yours need attention.
Fingers change over time, and a ring that no longer fits is a ring that does not get worn. We size rings up and down across a wide range of metals and styles. We will tell you in advance if a particular piece has sizing limitations, and we will always be honest about what is possible.
Broken chains, separated links, kinked or stretched sections — we repair all types of chain, in gold, silver, and other metals. If a chain is beyond repair, we can help you find a replacement that matches the original in style and weight.
Pearl necklaces and bracelets should be restrung periodically — and certainly after a strand breaks. We restring pearls with silk cord, knotted between each pearl in the traditional manner, so that a single break does not scatter the entire strand.
A chipped or damaged stone can sometimes be recut to remove the damage and restore the brilliance of the piece. We work with experienced stone cutters and can advise you on whether recutting makes sense for your piece.
A broken or unworn piece does not have to stay that way. We can redesign from broken pieces — taking the stones and metal from a piece that no longer works and creating something new and wearable. Bring it in and tell us what you are hoping for.
Scratched, dull, or oxidized metal can be polished and refinished to restore the original appearance of the piece. We polish as part of many repair jobs and can do it as a standalone service when the piece simply needs to look its best again.
Pieces That Carry History
Some of the pieces we repair are irreplaceable — not because of their monetary value, but because of what they represent. A grandmother's ring. An engagement ring that was worn for fifty years. A bracelet from someone who is no longer here. These pieces deserve more than a quick fix and a return visit.
We treat every piece with that understanding. We work carefully. We communicate clearly. And when we return a repaired piece, we make sure it is in the best possible condition — not just functional, but genuinely restored.
If you have a piece with significant sentimental value, tell us. We will take extra care, and we will keep you informed every step of the way.
Services You Won’t Find Everywhere
In addition to standard repair, we offer a set of services that most jewelry stores simply cannot provide.
We create memorial cremation jewelry — pieces that incorporate the cremated remains of a loved one, or a pet, into a wearable piece of jewelry. This is a deeply personal service, and we approach it with the care and discretion it deserves. If this is something you are considering, call us and we will explain the process.
We work with genuine meteorite material to create and repair meteorite bands — rings that incorporate actual extraterrestrial metal. If you have a meteorite band that needs work, or if you are interested in having one made, we are one of the few jewelers in the region equipped to do this properly.
A ring that no longer fits — or that was never worn — can often be converted into a pendant, giving the piece a new life in a new form. The metal and stones stay the same; only the setting changes. This is a meaningful alternative to letting a beautiful piece sit in a drawer.
If you have lost a piece of jewelry that was irreplaceable — and you have a photograph of it — we can recreate it. This is painstaking work, and it is not always possible, but if you bring us a clear photograph and tell us about the original, we will tell you honestly what we can do.
Expert Craftsmanship & Customization
We have more than 40 years of combined experience working with jewelry of every kind — antique and contemporary, simple and complex, inexpensive and irreplaceable. We have seen most of what can go wrong with a piece of jewelry, and we know how to fix it.
Our repair shop is on-site. The people who work on your jewelry are the same people you speak with at the counter. There is no middleman, no shipping your piece to an unknown facility, no uncertainty about where it is or who is handling it. It stays here, in our hands, until it is ready for you.
We are not pushy about repair recommendations. If a piece does not need work, we will tell you. If it does, we will explain exactly what is needed, what it will cost, and what the result will be — and we will not proceed without your agreement.
Locally Owned. On-Site Shop. No Pressure.
We are a locally owned store with an on-site repair shop, more than 40 years of combined experience, and a genuine commitment to doing the work right. We are not a chain store. We do not send your jewelry to a central facility. We handle every repair ourselves, on-site, and we stand behind the result.
When you visit one of our two locations — at the historic Choo Choo in downtown Chattanooga or on Signal Mountain — you will find a team that genuinely knows jewelry repair, takes care with every piece regardless of its monetary value, and will give you an honest assessment before touching a thing.
